Drop-Off And Dismissal Procedures
Morning Arrival
 No student should ever be left outside the gym doors alone.
 Teachers begin supervising students at 7:45 a.m.
 Gym doors open at 7:45 a.m.
 All students are dropped off at the gym doors in the back of the building each morning.
 Pull up so at least 6 vehicles can unload at the same time.
 Adults are expected to stay in their vehicles. Please do not get out of your vehicle for
any reason.
 Work with your child on how to unbuckle their seatbelt. This helps your child get out of
the vehicle quickly and traffic continues to flow. We must be mindful of those that are
needing to get to work each morning.
 Never pass a vehicle in the car line. Please be patient and wait.
 No cellphone usage in the carline. This is a TN state law. You will receive an $85 ticket
for being on your phone. Student safety is top priority.
 Gym doors close at 8:28 a.m. You will need to bring your child into the building and
check in with the front office after that time. Do not send them into the building alone.
You must sign them in. Students are considered tardy, if they are not in class when the
8:30 a.m. bell rings.
 If your child is going to eat breakfast, they need to be at school no later than 8:05 a.m.
This will allow them enough time to enjoy their breakfast.
 Be aware of the school zone and police officer that is present each morning.
Afternoon Dismissal
 Kindergarteners, first graders, and 5th graders that are car riders dismiss from the cafeteria. You will enter our campus from Roane State Hwy. Siblings of students from these three grade levels will also dismiss from the cafeteria. Wait in line. Your child will be sent to your vehicle once you are in front of the cafeteria. Please do not get out of your vehicle for any reason.
 Car riders in grades 2-4 will dismiss from the gym each day. Enter our campus from Ruritan Road (Look for the digital sign.) Line up and wait for traffic to begin moving. Pull
around back and wait for your child to be sent to your vehicle. Please do not get out of your vehicle for any reason.
 Pull up so at least 6 vehicles can load at the same time.
 Wait for the teacher on duty to give you permission to pull out. Student safety is our top priority.
 Never pass another vehicle in the car line. Please be patient and wait.
 Be aware of the school zones and the police officer that is present each afternoon.
